Windsurfing: Weston Super Mare Wind Direction: WSW Wind Stength: F6 Surf / Sea State: Air Temperature: Sea Temperature: Weather: Max Speed: Distance Covered:
Seems like ages since ive sailed Wsm & today was looking good. Met John &
Stu just after 3pm whilst some rain was going through which made the wind
drop a bit, it looked like 4.7 weather, but it started to build again so i
rigged 4.2 & small board.
The tide was long way out & the walk into wind was a struggle & i
thought about turning round for a smaller sail but didnt. When i eventually
got to the brown stuff the wind was proper Windy. After 3 runs &
uncontrolled jumps thought it best to go get 3.8m but it was a long walk
back F*ck.
Eventually got back on with 3.8m which was a lot better but still
stacked with loads power,Jumping was easier with loads of ramps about &
with the samller sail could control them better & be a bit more realxed,
but it was well windy now.
The waves out the back were now qiute big but it wasn\\\'t just loads
of white water which was good, there was plenty of steep big ramps that
when you took off the top you could feel your self going more sideways
than forward where it was sooo windy, gybing was a bit of a mare, totally
over powered running down big faces bouncing about trying to keep the
inside edge biteing/gripping the water, all good though. Running back along
the waves, some logo high was Fast Bouncy mental, just excellent.Just a
shame it was so windy (What?), When i pulled the back footstrap of jumping
i called it day, we dont get many days like this, but when we do :)
Senn John go for a back loop which looked good, fairplay.
Checked wsm weather station when i got home, it was showing 28 - 48knts....
